My mates and I love tacos. They’re great for a crowd and the cleanup is a breeze. Plus, they’re cheap AF! Don’t bother buying a packet of taco mix either, Charlie Cheesecaker has you covered. Check out a winning recipe for tacos that will never fail for your next mate date.

500g beef mince

12 small wraps

100g shredded iceberg lettuce

1 avocado (smashed)

1 small jar tomato salsa

2 tomatoes

1/2 red onion

1 clove garlic (crushed)

1 red chilli

1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil

Taco seasoning

1 tablespoon smoked paprika

1 teaspoon ground cumin

1 teaspoon dried coriander

1 teaspoon Mexican chilli powder

1 teaspoon dried oregano

Salt and pepper

Step 1: Place olive oil on high heat in a deep frying pan and add the mince. Brown until almost all the moisture is out of the pan.

Step 2: Add garlic and taco seasoning ingredients along with 1 cup of water and simmer for 15 minutes.

Step 3: Meanwhile, prepare your sides. Dice the tomato and onion and place in a small bowl. Shred the lettuce and serve on a plate or large bowl. Smash your avocado and serve in a small bowl. Slice the red chilli and place to one side. Transfer the salsa to a small serving bowl.

Step 4: When the mince is done, transfer from your pan to a large plate.

Step 5: Surround the mince with all of your sides and the wraps. Let everyone dig into the feast you’ve thrown together.
